Meet The Founders
Miguel
Hola Springfield! I’m Miguel and Co-Founder of Urban Studios. I was born in Puerto Rico and spent most of my life in Southern California. Early 2021, my girlfriend received a job opportunity that led us to Springfield. I have definitely enjoyed my time here and fell in love with the sense of community and experiencing all the seasons. Outside of Urban Studios, I specialize in Social Media Marketing & part of the Primate Digital – Marketing Agency Team. Ever since I picked up my first iPhone, I have absolutely loved taking photos and creating content. My vision for this space is for everyone to feel welcomed and inspired, no matter if you are creating content from an iPhone or a professional camera. I can’t wait to see what you all will create in this space!
Asantae
Hi I am Asantae! I have called Springfield my home for the past 15 years, and am currently attending Drury University where I will be wrapping up my studies in Graphic Design and Communications this Spring! Outside of the studio, I own a photography business called Asantae Photography in which I specialize in weddings and portraits. My love for photography and the local community is what has led me to be so passionate about Urban Studios, and I am so thrilled to share the space with all of you!

Rafael
Hey guys! This is Rafa! I was born and raised in Saltillo, Mexico and moved to Springfield in 2013 to go to college at Missouri State University. I’ve worked in marketing since 2014 and in 2020 I founded Primate Digital, a full-service digital agency serving businesses trying to establish their footprint online. Working in marketing for the past almost 9 years I realized how important photography and content creation is. When Miguel, Asantae and I partnered up, we wanted to bring more options for local photographers and content creators express their art and have a place downtown where possibilities are endless. On my free time, I enjoy exercising, learning, and spending time with my wife Bailey and two Mexican hairless dogs. Connect with me on Insta @rafavite. We look forward to having you at Urban Studios!
